The Consigning Advantage

This is the ULTIMATE way to RECYCLE, turn your quality outgrown or unused items into CASH!!!
Consignment sales will bring much higher prices than yard sales!

Just imagine not clearing out your garage for a sale or packing up those items for "one of these days we are going to have a yard sale."
You just price your items and drop them off.

You'll receive 70% of the selling price from each item sold. There is no way a consignment shop can compare.
You have the opportunity to shop
FIRST at the consignors only presale.

As a consignor you get to take advantage of our widespread advertising, customer volume, & we handle the details.

Interested in Consigning

There will be a $7.00 participation fee.

To qualify as a consignor you must consign a minimum of 10 items.

LIMIT 30 Women's & 20 Men's CLOTHING ITEMS
LIMIT 5 PAIR OF YOUR BEST ADULT SHOES
NO LIMITATION ON CHILDRENS CLOTHING or SHOES
NO YARD SALE ITEMS
NO STUFFED ANIMALS

Only Spring & Summer items will be accepted during the Spring/Summer Sale & Only Winter & Fall items will be accepted during the Winter/Fall Sale. No exceptions!

No out of date items will be accepted. No torn or soiled items will be accepted. We will evaluate each item and pull from the sales floor if we deem it to not be suitable. Please understand we would only expect you to bring items that you would want to buy again.

You will need to allow time at drop-off for filling out paperwork, checking in your items and placing them on the sales floor.

All efforts will be made to keep your items secure. However, it will be necessary to sign a waiver to exclude the hostesses & property owners from any and all responsibility in the case of fire, theft, accident or natural disasters. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

To Our Consignors:

In 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act was passed with the intended purpose of protecting children under the age of 12 from potentially dangerous products. The Act makes the resale of recalled products unlawful and also puts limits on the resale of items that may contain lead and chemicals called phthalates. It includes clothing, furniture, toys, and accessories.

We believe our consignors would never intentionally sell a product that could harm a child, and we would like to make checking for recalls very easy. Please take the responsibily of checking items you intend to sell against the recall list. It is important to check toys as well as baby items, such as furniture, strollers, highchairs, etc. When you drop off items, you will be asked to sign the Hugs & Hissyfits Consignor Agreement, and initial a clause stating you have done your part in checking for recalled items.

Go to www.recalls.gov and follow these instructions:

? Click on "Search for Recalls"

? Under Consumer Products, click on "Company" (Most items will indicate the company that made the item. i.e. Fisher-Price, Graco, etc. If not, you can search by "Product Category")

? Find the company in the alphabetical listing and click "Find" (or type in the first few letters in the field on the right and click "Simplify Search")

? Then, check that company's list of recalled items.

This will be a tremendous help to Hugs & Hissyfits and will also speed up your Drop-Off time. We will be screening all items at Drop-Off, but recalls are issues that can be checked before hand. Please don't be offended if we have to reject items that have been categorized as being potentially high in lead content or phthalates. We are trying to educate ourselves as much as possible on these items, so you don't have to. If you would like to prepare a few extra items to consign in case you have a few rejected items, please do so!
